Jephte Lanthia is the managing attorney of Lanthia Legal, a boutique law firm focusing on corporate and securities, fintech, and crypto/blockchain-related transactions. Mr. Lanthia began his legal career as an associate at a boutique securities law firm that advised hedge fund and private equity fund managers on structuring investment vehicles, securities offerings, broker-dealer regulation, and other compliance matters regarding the securities industry.
In 2014, Mr. Lanthia became involved in the crypto space. He has since advised foreign and domestic entities on various regulatory compliance issues involving cryptocurrency, crowdfunding, FinTech, sophisticated corporate transactions, and regulatory compliance matters. Additionally, Mr. Lanthia has advised token sellers, cryptocurrency exchanges, token marketers, crypto funds interested in trading and investing in digital assets, and other participants in the space.
Mr. Lanthia works collaboratively with blockchain leaders in the community to advance the industry and confers with his colleagues regularly to discuss recent regulatory enforcement actions, final rules, and guidance and exemptive orders from the SEC, FINRA, CFTC, FinCEN, and other regulatory agencies. He has spoken at various events concerning the regulatory landscape of cryptocurrency, blockchain and others securities matters. As a former teacher, Mr. Lanthia is also a mentor for Blockchain For Schools, a non-profit organization that introduces high school students to education regarding blockchain, cryptocurrency and companies participating in the space.
